The Data
Based on Masseys Lynley Pump, keywords weren’t being utilized to their full potential. There was a huge opportunity to make content more keyword-rich, especially in the Product Description. Before being optimized by Hinge Commerce, the PDP was well under our keyword count recommendation of using 25 of the top 100 keywords in each listing. Before our updates, their competitors were utilizing more of the top 20 and 100 keywords.
Optimizing copy with keywords on the front and back end is a key way to improve visibility and allow customers to find the perfect product. Many competitors were outperforming Masseys on the Amazon search pages when searching for top terms such as “pumps,” “dress pumps,” and “dress sandals.”
