Amazon continues to make changes to their FBA as a way of improving their fulfillment processes, and also prepare for the Q4 surge (encompassing Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and the Christmas holiday season). It is making significant investments in its fulfillment and transportation capabilities to make Prime faster, transitioning from a Two-Day to a One-Day delivery program. Because of these changes, Amazon is requiring some changes to Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP):
Effective September 30, 2020 Amazon will no longer offer the Small and Light program in Seller Fulfilled Prime. If you have products currently assigned to a Small and Light shipping template you will need to re-assign these products to a different shipping template.
Starting February 1, 2021, SFP sellers will be required to use shipping methods that support Saturday delivery and pick-ups to provide customers with a more consistent delivery experience throughout the week.
Also starting February 1, 2021, SFP sellers will be required to meet targets for one- and two-day delivery promises. The delivery speed targets ensure that customers have a consistent experience regardless of who fulfills their Prime order.
To help sellers meet the targets for one- and two-day delivery promises, Amazon is launching a new dashboard that monitors %One-Day or less Detail Page Views and %Two-Day or less Detail Page Views.
Finally, also starting February 1, 2021, SFP sellers will be required to have nationwide delivery coverage for all standard size delivery products.
